Objectives of the bootcamp
Dive into the magical world of animation with the refreshing From Staging to Finaling Animation Bootcamp, which is designed for animators at all levels. Over the course of three days, you will have the opportunity to advance one or more shots from your personal demo or current project. During the bootcamp, we will cover classical animation principles to analyze, understand, and perfect your animation. Additionally, I will share insights gained from working with highly demanding mentors, such as Lino Di Salvo, the animation director from Frozen; Olivier Staphylas, the animation director from Wish Dragon; Denis Couchon, the animation director from Thelma the Unicorn; and Ludovic Bouancheau, the animation director from The Last Wish.
Furthermore, these experiences have allowed me to hone my ability to spot key elements that enhance animation without unnecessary struggle. Consequently, at Meet Your Legend, we emphasize practical application to truly grasp and learn concepts. Therefore, bring your own animation projects and let’s push them as far as possible together. Join our 10.5-hour live video bootcamp, which takes place in small groups of 8 people. Specifically, the bootcamp runs for 3 hours per day over the course of 3 days, scheduled at 5pm CEST / 8am PST / 11am EST. Throughout the bootcamp, you will benefit from daily assignments between classes. In addition, you will receive 1 hour and 30 minutes of one-on-one mentoring with the instructor. This personalized guidance will be split up each day, thereby ensuring that you get tailored support and feedback.
Evaluation & Certification
Final project
- By the end of the From Staging to Finaling Animation Bootcamp, you will complete a concrete case study. If you succeed, you will receive a skill certificate from Meet Your Legend. This certificate, endorsed by industry legends, will signify your achievement. If you do not succeed, you can retake the evaluation at a later date.
