First, Karla and Florian will delve into Karla’s remarkable career and daily life as an international artist. Specifically, Karla will provide an inside look into her routine, showcasing how she manages high-profile projects while balancing multiple responsibilities.
Next, she will discuss her career evolution, highlighting key milestones and explaining how her skills have developed over time. Moreover, Karla will share insights into her work on notable projects, including Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Free Guy, Fast & Furious X, and The Sandman.

ABOUT KARLA VAZQUEZ
Karla has always dreamed of being part of the team that creates movie magic. Her passion for animation and digital art began at an early age, leading her to pursue formal studies in Animation. Consequently, this journey took her to Canada, where she discovered her deep affinity for Digital Compositing. This field perfectly combined her artistic vision with cutting-edge technology.
Karla’s professional career began at MPC, where she honed her skills and contributed to several high-profile projects. Subsequently, her journey continued at Scanline VFX, where she further developed her expertise in visual effects. Currently, she is a key member of Industrial Light & Magic. Her impressive portfolio includes major films such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Justice League: Snyder’s Cut, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Free Guy.
In addition to her industry work, Karla is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of talent. Specifically, she shares her extensive knowledge and experience as a Compositing instructor and mentor at Think Tank Vancouver Training Center and Meet Your Legend. Through her teaching and mentoring, Karla helps aspiring artists understand the intricacies of Digital Compositing. Furthermore, she guides them in developing their skills to excel in the competitive world of visual effects.
Ultimately, her commitment to both her craft and education reflects her passion for visual storytelling. Moreover, it showcases her desire to inspire and support young professionals in achieving their own dreams in the industry.
